Royal Caribbean Leads the Way for Families with Autism-Related Travel Challenges
Travel and vacations can be a challenge for families with an autistic child or adult. Its great to see that the industry is beginning to provide solutions as multi-generational family vacation travel is the latest trend. Royal Caribbean truly does provide something for everyone!
Royal Caribbean International became the first certified Autism Friendly Cruise Line in 2014 by the Autism on the Seas Foundation. In October 2015, Royal Caribbean became the first in the hospitality industry to offer complimentary on-demand TV programming via "The Autism Channel" in its cabins. With expedited check-in/boarding/departure, Autism friendly toy-lending and activities, dietary accommodations, etc., Royal Caribbean is opening doors to families that may have been deterred from taking a family vacation.
